The MRA Spring Conference is coming to beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona in 2023. We welcome you to join us for North America’s premier conference for search and rescue education, mountain rescue research, and the latest technology and rescue equipment. As the only National conference focused on wilderness and volunteer search and rescue, this conference brings SAR technicians and government officials from across the country and the world. Join us for learning, field exercises, demonstrations, and camaraderie.

PRE-CONFERENCE:  JUNE 6-8, 2022
CONFERENCE: JUNE 9-11, 2022

There will be field and classroom tracks for Mountain and Rope Rescue, Helicopter Rescue, Canine Search, Wilderness Search, Situational Awareness/Communication Technology, Wilderness Medical, and sUAS.

Come join us here in beautiful Flagstaff Arizona and learn and network with your fellow rescuers.

All members of the SAR community are welcome to attend. We welcome every and all non-MRA members attending in the spirit of the past SARCON conventions to broaden the knowledge and experience base.

Fort Tuthill County Park

Located just south of Flagstaff, Fort Tuthill County Park offers activities for the whole family, including a BMX park and a high ropes course! campsites are available on the conference grounds. Fort Tuthill is approximately a 2-hour drive from Sky Harbor International Airport.

Flagstaff Arizona also offers lodging and camping options.

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit (CCSSAR) is made up of more than 100 members from every walk of life. We have members of all ages, from their early twenties to eighties, and with varying skills and experience. On our very active team, we have medical professionals, firefighters, paramedics and EMTs volunteering when they are not on duty.

With over 90 government authorized units, MRA has grown to become the critical mountain search & rescue resource in North America.

Our goal is to also include seminars on a broader range that may include less common topics that are relevant to our mission and our members.
