The MRA Spring Conference is coming to the beautiful Estes Valley of Colorado in 2022. We welcome you to join us for North America’s premier conference for search and rescue education, mountain rescue research, and the latest technology and rescue equipment. As the only National conference focused on wilderness and volunteer search and rescue, this conference brings SAR technicians and government officials from across the country and the world. Join us for learning, field exercises, demonstrations, and camaraderie.

There will be field and classroom tracks for Mountain and Rope Rescue, Canine Search, Cave Rescue, Water Rescue, Helicopter Rescue, Wilderness Search, Wilderness Medical, and Drones.

Come to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and learn and network with your fellow rescuers. We will undertake all necessary Covid precautions that are in effect by the State of Colorado and the YMCA of the Rockies in June 2022. If the conference needs to be cancelled or postponed for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

All members of the SAR community are welcome to attend. We welcome every and all non-MRA members attending in the spirit of the past SARCON conventions to broaden the knowledge and experience base.



Located along the boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park, the YMCA of the Rockies offers a family-friendly campus surrounded by world-class scenery. Lodge rooms and cabins are available on site. YMCA of the Rockies is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Denver International Airport, or just under 2 hours from Cheyenne, WY.

Dog Handlers: If you are bringing a dog, you must reserve a room in the Wind River Lodge.

The town of Estes Park also offers lodging and camping options.




Larimer County Search and Rescue (LCSAR) is an all-volunteer, non-profit search and rescue (SAR) team based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our mission is to find the lost, rescue the injured, and teach wilderness safety skills to the public. LCSAR just celebrated its 40th year of serving Northern Colorado and the surrounding region.



MRA is an organization of teams dedicated to saving lives through rescue and mountain safety education. We do so by improving the quality, availability, & safety of mountain search & rescue. With over 90 government authorized units, MRA has grown to become the critical mountain search & rescue resource in North America.
