Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is a 16-hour course is a practical 16-hour course that explains wilderness hazards and trains you to treat injuries and other emergencies in the wilderness. It includes classroom instruction, hands-on skills, and role-playing scenarios, covering topics including:

  • Dressing for survival
  • Going to high altitude
  • Sunburn & sun protection
  • Lightning
  • Water disinfection
  • Bugs, snakes & bears
  • Marine hazards

  • Splinting – how to improvise
